your Realtor will likely get a portion of the commission the seller oays to their Realtor. pick an agent that works in the neighborhoods you are interested in. Listen to your agent , but make your own decisions.
Your Finances.
This means determing how much money you can raise for your down payment and how much you can afford to pay out on a regular monthly basis. Use a mortgage broker to find the best mortgage and rate. Remember to include the costs of home ownership, homeowners insurance, property taxes, utilities etc.
Be clear to your Realtor what you are looking for.
If you like the first house you see you still need to see other house to see what else is on offer. You will then get a better idea as to what home is in your price range. Don't buy a home that will be dificult to resell. Your Realtor will be able to advise you on the area and what sells and what is not.
